Call for Abstracts — 2026 GSACS Annual Resident Paper Competitions
The Georgia Society of the American College of Surgeons (GSACS) is excited to gather for the 2026 Annual Meeting and Obesity Day, August 28 – 30, 2026, at the beautiful Ritz Carlton Amelia Island and offer this great opportunity.
The Annual Resident Paper Competition provides a unique opportunity to present to surgeons, network with fellow trainees, and engage in professional development, so DO NOT DELAY! SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT TODAY!
Categories are General Surgery, Cancer, Trauma, and AGAIN this year BARIATRICS VIDEO sponsored by the Georgia Chapter, ASMBS on Obesity Day!
Submission Eligibility
All residents and research trainees enrolled in general surgery or surgical specialty residency training or fellowship programs in Georgia.
Medical students enrolled in medical school in Georgia – with an interest in surgery.
The entry must represent original work done by the author(s).
Submission of an abstract commits the author(s) to be present in August 28 – 30, 2026, Amelia Island, FL if the abstract is accepted.
Submission Instructions
Submit abstracts using the online submission form by June 19, 2026, at 11:45 pm ET. Only online submissions will be accepted.
Upload graphs or charts as directed on the abstract submission form.
When entering your abstract, you will be asked to complete these sections: Background, Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
